Frequently asked questions
Not a problem, you can still send to them.
Enter their email, and we'll store the correspondence securely on our servers and provide a time-limited link for them to access it.
AOIC Requirements
Patient health information is kept out of the actual email, allowing you to stay compliant with the AOIC requirements.
Data Sovereignty
Also as per AOIC requirements, Mediref can guarantee that patient health information stays within Australian borders. Emails generally bounce around the world via multiple access points before being delivered.
Automatic Expiry
All links automatically expire after 90 days, limiting accessibility.
Link Deactivation
In the case of a wrongful email address being input, a link can be deactivated, mitigating the risk of an information leak.
Tracking
Ensure that your recipient has seen your correspondence.
Happy days! Your sending workflow can stay mostly unchanged.
Do what you are used to. Mediref only comes into play at the last step of the process where we provide a range of easy ways to upload and send your correspondence - including integrating with your computer to upload documents directly from your patient management system or imaging software.
If you want to see this in action, sign up for a free account and book a demo with us.
Not much change (assuming you currently receive correspondence primarily via email). Click to view/download, drag and drop it into the relevant patient's file in your patient management system.
If you mainly receive paper correspondence, not having to scan and deal with paperwork will drastically reduce the time spent handling correspondence.
Nope! Go nuts...
Seriously. Feel free to send out as many files as you like including multi-gigabyte 3D scans or whatever else you need to send. Again, you're welcome to sign up for a free trial to test this out.
