Add another practice

Run more than one practice from one Mediref account, and switch between them.

Adds a second (or tenth) practice to the account you already have. Your team, your billing and your sign-in stay the same; each practice has its own inbox, directory listing and practitioners, and you switch between them from the account menu.

You need governance permission on the account to add a practice. If you don’t have it, the account menu doesn’t offer it; ask whoever manages your account.

Steps

  1. Open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar and click Add another practice.
  2. Enter the Practice name. The page says how the practice will be billed:
    • On a paid plan, the new practice is added on the same plan, prorated until your renewal date, and charged to the card on file. Change plan lets you pick a different plan for it.
    • Still on the free trial? Added practices are paid, so you’re asked to choose a plan for your account first and brought straight back.
    • Invoiced accounts add the practice to the invoice; there’s nothing to pay on the page.
  3. Click Add practice. Mediref switches you to the new practice.
  4. Fill in its phone number, address and website, then Continue.
  5. Add its practitioners on Your team, inviting anyone who needs their own login, then Continue. You land in the new practice’s inbox.

Switching between practices

Once you can reach two or more practices, the bottom of the sidebar shows the one you’re in; click it to switch. Your practices in Settings lists them all. Everything you see and send belongs to the practice you’re in at the time.
