Install Mediref on a Mac

Install the Mediref Mac app and the Mac printer, so you can print documents straight into Mediref.

A Mac needs two downloads from the Integration page: the Mac application and the Mac printer. The application on its own won’t put Mediref in the print window. You don’t need to be signed in to download.

Install the app

  1. Click Mac Application to get Mediref-X.X.X-universal.dmg.
  2. Open it and drag Mediref into Applications.
  3. Open Mediref from Applications and sign in. If the Mac asks whether you’re sure, check the name is Mediref and click Open.

Install the printer

  1. Back on the Integration page, click Mac Printer Integration to get Mediref-Printer-For-Mac.workflow.zip.
  2. Unzip it, open the Mediref-Printer-For-Mac.workflow file inside, and confirm the install.
  3. Test it: open any document, choose Print, then open the PDF list at the bottom left of the print window and choose the Mediref option.

Repeat both installs on every Mac. When you print, Mediref comes to the front with a new correspondence and the document already attached as a PDF — the rest is the same as Send correspondence using the Windows printer.
