Mediref looks different on another computer

Why the same account looks different on two machines, and which settings follow you.

Some of how Mediref looks is saved on the computer you set it on, not on your account, so the same account can look different on each one.

Set on that computer only:

  • The list layout — the wide list, or the list beside an open item. See Open new correspondence.
  • Font sizeSettings → Customisations, under Display.
  • Light or dark — the button in the bar across the top.
  • Desktop app settings, including where downloaded files are saved — see Desktop app settings.

Your saved views, practice details, practitioners, tags and notification settings are stored on your account, so they follow you to any computer.

Steps

  1. On the computer that looks wrong, set the list layout, font size and light or dark to match the one that looks right.
  2. Put the zoom back to 100%. Hold Ctrl and press 0, or Cmd and 0 on a Mac.
  3. Make the window bigger. In a narrow window, buttons shrink down to small pictures and the row of filters stacks up.
